The Old WayBefore we can implement the powerful marketing strategies contained in the "Monopolize Your Marketplace" system, we must first understand the "Old Way" of doing things. Back in the "Days of Simple Selling" the seller had the power because there was limited competition, limited information, fewer choices and low education on products and services. It was much easier for the customer to make a buying decision because they really had only one choice…to the consumer the salesperson was the only expert. However, over the last 20 years the landscape of business has changed, there are now much more businesses competing for the same prospects. Due to increased technology and increased information…the buyer is in more control of the process and companies face longer buying cycles, fiercer price competition and increased resistance to the sales process. The increased competition and information has created a confidence gap between the buyer and the seller. The "Confidence Gap" represents the buyers inability to determine whether any of the businesses or any of the products or any of the services are any better or any different or any worse than any of the others. The buyer feels like he doesn't have control, so he stalls, thinks, and compares, and will try to gather more information. The business world has used many techniques to overcome the confidence gap, here are a few of the most common:
Advertising Tricks, Gimmicks (you must understand principles, not just techniques)If this makes sense to you, it should. This is the way we've been taught how to market and advertise our businesses for years. So, are there any solutions to these problems? You could attempt to hire a large advertising agency, but we know they operate from the "Old School" mentality and they wouldn't give most businesses the time of day. They are only interested in huge advertising budgets because they get paid on the amount of advertising placed, not the profits the advertising generates. The bottom line, even if you could afford to hire a "Big Agency", are you really interested in an industry that awards themselves for the creativity of their ads, rather than the revenue generated from the ads. Or you could hire a small advertising agency, but more than likely same people who left the big agencies started them and they have the same mentality. They want to be big, so they'll emulate the big guys. However, neither of these options will provide any practical "how to make money" knowledge and will more than likely cost a lot more money than the income their ads will generate. So why waste your time and hard earned money, we'll teach you how to market your business The New Way! |
